We are delighted to announce that the Highfurlong School Community Café 'canteen' is now open every Tuesday to Friday. This welcoming space is designed to bring our school and local community together while providing valuable real-world experiences for our pupils.
Visitors can enjoy a selection of hot drinks and delicious meals, and there’s even the opportunity to pre-order your Christmas gifts from our popular Gift Box. When you visit, you’ll regularly see our pupils taking orders and serving customers, supported by an adaptive till system that ensures every student can communicate effectively.
The café is an integral part of our Careers and Preparation for Adulthood offer, giving pupils hands-on experience in customer service, teamwork, and communication skills. It also serves as a fantastic community facility, strengthening the connection between our school and the people we serve.
