Premises Assistant

Salary: NJC Grade D SCP 7-11 £26,403 - £28,142 pro rata

Following the retirement of the postholder, we are seeking to appoint a Premises Assistant, who will play a crucial part in the smooth running of our school, ensuring our buildings and grounds provide a safe, secure and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. The successful candidate will work alongside our Premises Manager in all aspects of site maintenance, and support in health and safety compliance.

We’re looking for someone with: 
- Experience working in a school or similar premises
- A strong understanding of health and safety regulations 
- Excellent organisational skills 
- A proactive, practical approach to problem-solving 
- A flexible attitude with regard to working hours as some additional hours may be required at certain time of the year, - these will be discussed and mutually agreed as and when the need arises.

Highfurlong School is a 2 – 19 Special School Academy in Blackpool with 145 pupils on roll, with a wide range of physical and medical needs and severe and complex learning difficulties. Salary - Grade D (7-11) actual salary £17,366.42 per annum
